Labor Day Picnic and Book Exchange

You’re invited to our second annual labor day picnic this coming Monday, Sept. 5, at 3 p.m. in Peace Park on the Mizzou campus. It was great to meet so many of you at our picnic last year, and we’d love to make this an annual opportunity to socialize and re-energize for another year of organizing. If you’ve had any involvement with the chapter — or if you are just interested in getting involved — please join us!

For this year’s picnic we’re adding a new element: a book swap! Bring left-wing literature you’re willing to share — and get ready to add new titles to your own to-read list. If you have a favorite potluck-style dish, bring it — but if you don’t have time to cook or pick something up, don’t let that stop you. Email us if you have food sensitivities and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Bring blankets and lawn chairs, plus more to share, if you’ve got them. We’ll collect donations for our strike solidarity fund, so consider bringing cash or be ready to transfer money using Zelle.
